A Touch of Character #1
For the month of December, I will be releasing a new NPC every day (except for Christmas Day). These NPCs are part random selection and part careful crafting. Feel free to use any of these characters in your own campaigns as they are or with any modifications you desire!
Today's NPC is a tiefling with a troubled past seeking to put his skills to work in order to earn an honest living.
Name: Leucis (Lew-sis)
Occupation: Bouncer at a Gentlemen's Club
Bio: Well groomed and dressed in polished and well-kept black leathers, Leucis cuts a striking figure as he stands watch outside the double, cherry wood doors of The Honest Mermaid, a club in town catering to the base desires of the male population. He doesn't speak much about his past lest his time as a cultist of the Purifying Order become known. In his youth, Leucis embraced the infernal side of his lineage, believing that to be a tiefling meant to be devilish in every way. He eventually realized that, despite his red skin, serpentine tail, and the horns on his head, that he simply didn't have it inside him to be cruel.
Not knowing what else to do with himself, he found work as hired muscle, but even then, knew he didn't want to beat on anyone, even if they deserved it. He now works as a bouncer, using violence as a last resort to deal with unruly patrons or those attempting to get in to the club without permission.
Leucis is often seen tugging at the small tuft of black hair on his chin or fiddling with the brass amulet around his neck - a memento from his mother and his only remaining tie to her. He speaks as little as possible, and he is often considered rude by others due to his blunt and brutal honesty.
